Main scientific objectives:
Characterization of particle population in very stable and stratified PBL present over the Antarctic plateau by chemical and physical measurements.
Investigation of atmosphere/snow mass exchanges by simultaneous snow and aerosol measurements and analysis.
FAI Instruments involvement:
The company placed at partners disposal the following instruments specifically adapted to operate with air ambient temperature up to – 80 °C and 630 kPa atmospheric pressure.
HYDRA Dual Sampler equipped with PM1 and PM2.5 sampling inlets.
Multichannel OPC Monitor for the characterization in real time and in continuous of the suspended particulate matter ( > 0.3 µm ) granulometric distribution.
